About the Scholarship
The Haughton Scholarship Fund supports Jamaican high-school students who show commitment to their education but face financial barriers. Founded by Jamaicans who believe education is the pathway to opportunity, the Fund invests in students’ potential by helping cover school-related costs.
Who should apply (Eligibility)
Eligible applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in a recognized Jamaican high school.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need as part of the application process. This should be clearly explained in the student’s written essay and supported by the school’s recommendation.
Show commitment to education, good character, and regular attendance.
- Have a recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, or school administrator.
What the scholarship covers
Scholarship funds are applied strictly toward tuition.
Where possible, funds may be administered through the student’s school to ensure proper use.
Before starting, please read the full application carefully. A teacher or school administrator recommendation and parent/guardian confirmation are required at the end of the form and in key sections throughout the application.
